Curtain Call

A warm retrospective on programme paper: a literary serif for titles, oversized deep-teal figures and quotations, a plain grotesk for reading, teal table heads over warm hairline rows, a large three-tone plaid in marigold or teal — only ever big, as the whole ground of the cover, act breaks and statement or as a loud rail beside a ledger or between two poles — bright natural-daylight photographs of remembered places and things with copy on a dark band, and one large hand-drawn colour mark on every card in a fixed place — on open plaid beside a plate, riding a rail, across a photo's band seam, or opposite a working card's title — with smaller marks leading ledger rows. Every card sits on one grid with an even margin on all four edges, and photographs sit in fixed crops. Native tables and charts, a timeline, a cycle, a relationship layout, numbered ledgers.
