How it works
Inline link previews
When anyone shares a gamma.app link in a channel or DM, Gamma automatically expands it into a rich preview with the title, thumbnail, and live generation status. No command needed — sharing the link is the trigger.
Reply to comments from Slack
When someone comments on your gamma, the Gamma bot sends you a direct message. Reply in that DM thread and your reply is posted straight back to the gamma as a comment.
Generate Gammas with AI
Connect Gamma as an MCP server to create and read gammas right from Slack’s AI assistant — just describe what you want and Gamma builds it.
How to get started
- Click "Add to Slack" and authorize the app for your workspace.
- You'll get a confirmation DM from Gamma once it's installed.
- To connect AI tools, enable Gamma as an MCP server in Slack and sign in with your Gamma account when prompted.
The app only acts on gamma.app links and on replies within Gamma’s own comment-notification DM threads — no other channels, messages, or data in your workspace are accessed.
Use Gamma’s tools in Slack (MCP)
Gamma runs an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that lets Slack’s AI assistant use Gamma’s tools on your behalf. After you connect and sign in with your Gamma account, you can create, browse, and read gammas directly from Slack. AI-powered tools are noted below.

AI-generated content: Gamma uses AI (large language models) to generate presentations, documents, summaries, and other outputs. AI can make mistakes, so these outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always review AI-generated content before relying on or sharing it. Gamma does not use your Slack data to train AI models.
