Why I Created Josie Mae?
Josie Mae isn’t just a name. It’s a tribute.
I named my business Josie Mae after my grandmothers—Josephine and Jessie Mae—two women whose strength, grace, faith and love shaped the woman I am today. After the transition, of my favorite Aunt Mennie I created —the Butterfly Collection—a line of memorial products to honor her life, creativity, beauty and resilience.
Over the past seven years, I have planned countless celebrations from birthdays to weddings. During this time, I secretly grieved the transition of over twenty family and friends. Grief changed me. It cracked me open. And it showed me that families don’t just need planners—they need people who understand the sacred weight of loss.
So, I turned my business into what I wish I had through every funeral, every obituary, every tribute I had to plan while grieving.
At Josie Mae, we don’t just make products. We preserve legacies. We don’t just coordinate events. We ease the burden.
During life's most difficult moments, you don't have to walk alone.
