To promote girls' education, health, and hygiene, and provide emotional support and rehabilitation to vulnerable, orphaned, and abandoned children, widowed/destitute women, the economically deprived, and the elderly.

Awareness and Reform
To create awareness about the elimination of child labor, anti-social elements, bad social customs, illiteracy, dowry system, child marriage, fanaticism, and other superstitious customs. To work with other NGOs to uplift the standard of living and motivate people to support the Swachh Bharat cleanliness drive.

Non-Profit Structure and Governance
The HMT Education and Welfare Foundation is structured as a non-profit company limited by shares, incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. Key aspects of its governance and operations include:
Profit Application
Any profits or other income generated by the company will be applied solely for the promotion of its stated objectives, and will not be distributed among the members.
Member Remuneration
No remuneration or other benefits will be paid to the members of the company, except for reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses, reasonable interest on money lent, or rent on premises let to the company.
Auditing and Transparency
The company's accounts will be regularly audited, and will be open to inspection by the members as per the company's regulations.
Winding Up and Amalgamation
In the event of winding up or dissolution, the company's remaining assets will be transferred to another company with similar objectives, or credited to the Rehabilitation and Insolvency Fund. The company can only be amalgamated with another Section 8 company with similar objects.
